Fernie Search and Rescue

August Training

Printer-friendly version
Starts at Wednesday, 11 August, 2010 - 18:30
Ends at Wednesday, 11 August, 2010 - 21:00
Duration 2 hours 30 min

This months training has been moved to the 11th as we are planning to train on shoreline rescue techniques.  We are still awaiting the arrival of some swift-water equipment but it should be here for the 11th (fingers crossed)

This session will allow GSAR members to practise the shoreline rescues with our new swift-water team as subjects.

We will meet at the search hall for 6.30 to go through a short presentation before moving down to the river for the practical part of the session.

We will provide helmets & PFD's but bring footwear that you don't mind getting wet but with covered toes. As GSAR you should not be in the water but maybe bring a towel and a change of clothes just in case.

I realize that it is holiday time but it would be great if we could see you out at training.  Please confirm your attendance via the website.

Thanks
