CASARA Spotter Training

This month we will be covering the rope skills that all GSAR members should have, these are general skills including knots, anchors and using a handline. This is not a technical rope rescue skills training session but would benefit all members including the rope team.

This month will be looking at communications, using the radios and sat phones for a practical exercise.

This month we be working on tabletop map & compass exercises.

Please bring a pencil, ruler, eraser & compass if you have them.

This month we will be looking at witness interview formats & in relation to a table top search exercise.

Also looking at what should be in your personal pack for winter.

Rope rescue training: we will be running through a rescue indoors

Novembers training

This session will be a good introduction for new members interested in joining the rope team but also a good refreshers for current members.  We will be working through the different stations.

We will be simulating a high angle rope rescue, bring your personal gear.
