Come along and join this months training.  Due to the lack of response for August training we have rescheduled the activities planned for September.

We are planning an evening based on shoreline searches & rescues, a short presentation will be given prior to going out to the river.  The swiftwater team will simulate being casualties so you can practise your land based rescues.

Equipment needed - sturdy footwear (don't mind getting wet) possible change of clothing (in case you fall in)

Swiftwater team - come prepared to go in the water, the dry suits should be here by then.

We will provide helmets, PFDS, whistles etc.

Come along for a fun evening and check out our new equipment bought with funds raised at the BBQ fundraiser earlier this year.

Starts at Wednesday, 11 August, 2010 - 18:30
Ends at Wednesday, 11 August, 2010 - 21:00
Location SAR Hall, 102 Commerce Rd, Fernie, BC V0B 1M5, Canada

This months training has been moved to the 11th as we are planning to train on shoreline rescue techniques.  We are still awaiting the arrival of some swift-water equipment but it should be here for the 11th (fingers crossed)

This session will allow GSAR members to practise the shoreline rescues with our new swift-water team as subjects.

We will meet at the search hall for 6.30 to go through a short presentation before moving down to the river for the practical part of the session.

We will provide helmets & PFD's but bring footwear that you don't mind getting wet but with covered toes. As GSAR you should not be in the water but maybe bring a towel and a change of clothes just in case.

I realize that it is holiday time but it would be great if we could see you out at training.  Please confirm your attendance via the website.

Thanks
