Weather and snow conditions permitting we will look at avalanche rescue and transceiver training.

Please come prepared to be outside 

We have organized a helicopter hover training session on the Saturday morning. This is both weather and attendance dependant so please register online if you can attend.

Winter preparedness, we will be covering

We wish to invite all members to this years AGM.

7pm at the SAR Hall

This month we will be running through a simulated rescue. Meet at the search hall 6pm

This month we will be looking at navigation skills, please bring your compass, notepad and pencil. Meet at the hall 6pm we will be going outside.

This months training will be held a week earlier as a number of members are on vacation in July.

Due to the weather, we will NOT be doing a shore related rescue as the river is very high.

Instead we will be running a different search & rescue scenario but on land, please come prepared to be outside, with your rescue packs.

This will be the last training session for the summer. the next session will be in September.

Please sign up on the website if you plan to attend so we can plan for numbers.

This month we will hold training on the 9th(second wed) as the 2nd is close to the hols and people may still be out of town.  

We will be looking at an avalanche response with some practical training with your transceivers, probes and shovels.

Come prepared to be outside, ideally with your own personal gear.
