This month we don't have enough snow to set up an organized rescue which was covered inside in Dec training.  Instead we will be looking at winter survival.

This rope training is being held by Sparwood SAR at a location near Elko and is open to all certified members of the Fernie rope team.

This month we will be looking at Avalanche response, going over our emergency plan, running through an avalanche response and going over what equipment we have and where to find it and explaining t

This month we will be covering interviewing skills with practical scenarios both inside & outside.

This month will be a Map & Compass work, there will be some stations outside but also table top exercises.

The plan this month is too make use of one of the final sessions before the nights and darkness draw in to be out in the field and practicing navigation skills.
